The Middle Leadership Accelerator
Become a More Effective Leader. Six Months. Four Modules. Real Impact.
Becoming a middle leader means moving from doing your best work to creating the conditions for others to do their best work. The Middle Leadership Accelerator is a practical, research-informed programme designed around the real work of leading from the middle: leading people, making decisions, managing projects, navigating difficult conversations and turning ideas into action. Download the flyer.
At a Glance:
Four face-to-face days, Terms 1 & 2 2027
Online implementation clinics between sessions
Cohorts enrolling: Hamilton and Tauranga.
How it Works
Each module follows the same cycle.
Learn. Practical ideas, frameworks and tools, introduced on a face-to-face day.
Apply. Put them to work on a real challenge in your own school.
Lead. Bring what happened to an online clinic or coaching session, reflect, refine and build your impact.
Then the next module starts from where the last one left off. Over six months, that is four rounds of learning, trying, and adjusting, rather than four days of good intentions.
The Four Modules
Team Function
Build teams that collaborate rather than merely coexist, and run meetings people are glad they attended. Expect a candid look at the common meeting crimes and the habits that replace them. You leave with: a step-by-step plan to develop effective, collaborative teams and 20+ high-impact meeting facilitation strategies.Decision-Making & Project Management
Turn priorities into action, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and keep projects moving when the term gets busy. You leave with: twelve essential leadership decision-making frameworks and a set of project planning templates to help you manage your next initiative.Professional Conversations
Learn to recognise which kind of conversation you are in, and handle it with confidence: the ones that build clarity, capability and accountability, including the ones you would rather avoid. You leave with: a complete set of tools for sense-making, feedback and accountability conversations.Change Leadership & School Improvement
Build the practices that make improvement stick, drawing on research into how change succeeds and why it so often stalls. You leave with: a change leadership and school improvement toolkit.
